History of HYFC

Harborne Youth FC is an established grass roots football club founded in 2007, with the aim of providing a safe, fun, competitive football club for young people in the Harborne area in the city of Birmingham. 

We have over 100 youngsters from the age of 7 to 18, training regularly and representing the club in the Central Warwickshire Youth League and the Sandwell Minor League.

The club has evolved from a few dads and lads having a kick around with their football mad sons in Lightwoods Park on a Saturday, to having teams of all ages with boys and girls competing in leagues and cups.

We believe that football should be played for fun, with discipline and integrity upholding the FA’s Respect campaign. Our players respect their opponents, the referees, teammates, spectators and volunteers. Our players have developed strong friendships, good skills and positive attitudes through training and playing together.
